Adventures By The Sea began as just that – a love of the Monterey Peninsula and the outdoors. Frank Knight, owner of Adventures by the Sea, spent many of his early years bicycling, kayaking, surfing, and generally engulfing himself in the beauty and serenity of the Monterey area.

Wanting to share his experiences with others, Frank began a small rental business delivering bicycles to the local hotels for the enjoyment of people visiting the area. Continued enthusiasm and success have allowed the company to grow by adding kayaks, surreys, and stand up paddleboards to the fleet.

Frank was joined by his wife Michelle in 1991 and together they added numerous locations throughout the Monterey Peninsula. Together, they love “making fun” for their clients and are always on the look out for new “toys” to add to their fleet!
